Dental Implants

Missing teeth affect more than your appearance — they impact chewing, speech, and long-term jawbone health. Dental implants are the closest thing to a natural tooth replacement available.

What Makes Dental Implants the Best Long-Term Tooth Replacement in Calgary?

A dental implant is a small titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone, where it integrates with the bone to create a permanent, stable foundation for a crown, bridge, or denture. Unlike traditional dentures, implants won't slip, shift, or require adhesives.

With proper care, dental implants can last 20 years or more — making them the most cost-effective long-term tooth replacement option. We use advanced CBCT 3D imaging to plan every implant placement with precision for optimal outcomes.

  • Permanent — can last 20 or more years with proper care
  • Looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth
  • Preserves jawbone and prevents bone loss
  • Doesn't require altering adjacent healthy teeth
  • Secured with titanium — the same material used in joint replacements
  • Advanced 3D imaging for precise, predictable placement

Why choose us

What makes this treatment right for you

Natural Look & Feel

Each crown is custom-crafted to match your existing teeth in shape, size, and colour — indistinguishable from the real thing.

Preserves Jawbone

Implants are the only tooth replacement that stimulates the jawbone, preventing the bone loss and facial changes that follow tooth loss.

Long-Term Value

While implants require an upfront investment, their longevity makes them significantly more cost-effective than alternatives that need frequent replacement.

Patient FAQ

Common questions about Dental Implants

Olympic Park Smiles Dental currently offers dental implants from $895, including imaging. A crown lab fee of $750 applies separately. A $355 parts fee also applies. Free consultations are available. Contact (403) 300-2224 or book online to discuss your specific needs and total cost.

Dental implants at Olympic Park Smiles are performed by Dr. Kevin Kalin, DDS, who completed a 2.5-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harvard and Massachusetts General Hospital — one of North America's most prestigious surgical training programs.

Most adults in good general health with adequate jawbone density are candidates. We'll take 3D imaging to assess your bone and discuss your suitability at a consultation.

The full process typically takes 3 to 6 months, including healing time after implant placement before the final crown is attached.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic, so you won't feel pain during placement. Mild soreness for a few days afterward is normal and managed with over-the-counter pain relief.
